Hello, friends!

These are strange times, indeed! As the COVID pandemic has affected our nation, leaving businesses struggling, it has also affected ministries such as ours. The shut down left us without the usual blessing of getting to see the bright, smiling faces of our participants and without the camaraderie of our volunteers. We miss each and every one of you!

Like everyone else, we are revamping our activities to comply with state recommendations. With that, we have put into place updated policies to ensure the health and safety of everyone will not be compromised. All participants will need a new physician’s statement for riding before returning to the ranch. All volunteers should make sure their paperwork is up-to-date and no additional information is needed.

We are participating in Giving Tuesday Now on May 5, 2020, asking people to come alongside us financially so that our horses can be here and ready for everyone to return as quickly as possible. Please check out our Facebook page for more information. You can also give directly through the web site, mail in a donation, or drop it off when the office is open.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE COMING WEEKS

While we aren’t setting any final dates as of yet, we are making plans for the rest of the year. We remain hopeful that next semester will continue on as planned. We also plan to finish out the Horse Tales Literacy Project but do not know what that will look like at this time.

The William’s Walk Memorial Trail Ride has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 20, 2020. Because the BLM has been closed, we do not expect them to hold a Mustang Makeover this year so we will be unable to give that away as the Grand Prize. We have not determined a new Grand Prize at this time.

We are planning to continue as usual with Par 4 the Horse Golf Tournament in September.

Summer camps are still being discussed. We will make information known as soon as we are able. If you’re interested in attending a camp, please call the office or email us at walkon@therightpathok.org to add your name to the waiting list.

We currently have volunteers conditioning horses and staff is prepping for class. If you’ve been on the conditioning team before and would like to help out again, we would love to see you! We are not currently training new team members. We do, however, have lots of lawn care and maintenance needed that volunteers could help with. Email John at volunteer@therightpathok.org or call the office to help us out at the ranch.

Lastly, I’m so excited for you to meet our new office manager, Julie! She is a great addition to our team and is really looking forward to meeting everyone. She is in the office Tuesday – Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please let her know if there is any way we can be of help to you. You can email her at office@therightpathok.org or by calling the office.

We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Be Mighty!
Joshalyn
